For the last few weeks I have fallen in love and enjoyed the companionship of my new rescue cat, Toby. I believe that cats pick their humans, and I am incredibly lucky that he picked me! I’m looking forward to making new art inspired by our adventures on the road together!

I have not yet made the box but this is what I have so far. I hope this creation will bring intrigue, fear, and joy to some trick or treaters this season.
Amber – Enchanted Highway, photography
I travel across the United States a lot and while traveling I always keep an eye out for quirky whimsical folk art along America’s backroads. While working in the Dickinson, ND area this Summer I saw signs beckoning travels to the “Enchanted Highway“. Naturally I had to check this out!
The Enchanted Highway consisted of several large scaled public sculptures created by local artist, Gary Greff. Grief began the Enchanted Highway project in 1989.
I love what artists do to bring a some joy to others around them. I know I was thrilled to find them!

Stage makeup in advanced aging commercial shoot. Sometimes I feel as though I am spinning my wheels and achieving nothing. Yet sometimes I feel as though it is fine. I need to stop focusing on what society expects of me and concentrate on my own issues. In the end you only have yourself, right?

I find anchors to be a bit disheartening. They are meant to keep you grounded and secure, not a terrible characteristic, but they can hinder a free spirit.
